A Norovirus Outbreak Sickened More Than 200 People At The Washington State Cheerleading Championships
A virus better known for causing epidemics on cruise ships is blamed for making 229 attendees of the Washington State Cheerleading Championships sick with vomiting and diarrhea.
The Everett, Wash. Herald claims norovirus is to blame, with the majority of infections occurring due to—you guessed it—people not washing their hands properly in the bathroom.
The state health labs are collecting stool samples from competitors and spectators, and really what's a more unpleasant idea than the collection of a high school cheerleader's poo?
