A UTEP Football Player Was Arrested For Allegedly Making A "Terroristic Threat" At Another Student

UTEP wide receiver Jordan Leslie was arrested Sunday after allegedly threatening a fellow student. He was charged with one count of unlawful carrying of a weapon and one count of making a terroristic threat.

The incident happened around 3 p.m. Sunday on the 800 block of W. University Avenue. According to the University of Texas at El Paso Police Department's website, "a student reported that another student had threatened him with serious injury. Officers responded and a pistol was located inside the suspect student's vehicle."

Leslie's arrest is currently the latest entry in the UTEP police log.

The reason for the "terroristic threat" is unknown, but what does that even mean? The Texas Attorney General's office offers a definition:

Terroristic Threat is a penal code offense (Section 22.07). A person commits the offense of Terroristic Threat if he or she threatens to commit any offense involving violence to any person or property with the intent to place a person in fear of imminent serious bodily injury. Penalty: Class B misdemeanor.

I feel like "terroristesque" might be a little more elegant, but that's just me.
