A Woman Won A Million Dollars On Wheel Of Fortune Last Night
A $1 million prize was added to Wheel of Fortune in 2008, but it's only been won once since then, because it's really freaking hard to do.
Autumn Ernhard, a 30-year-old, picked up the $1 million wedge on a spin—and hung on to it by winning the three-person portion of the show without ever landing on bankrupt. But that was the easy part. The bonus round prize is selected by spinning a mini-wheel—the million dollars was just one of 24 possible prizes.
Ernhard had no idea what she was playing for when she got a ridiculous hard final puzzle, with almost no help. Wheel of Fortune might be mostly luck, but it's hard to say she didn't earn this.
