About Those $9,000 Super Bowl Tickets ...
Yeah, in reality, turns out they're not going for anywhere near that high. And in addition here's some great Super Bowl parties you can crash.
A reader, Mark from TicketChest.com, gives this report:
Ten grand to watch the Cardinals? Yeah right. StubHub does sell ticket brokers' seats at a big mark-up, and some fans also list tickets. Most of fans that post their seats put them in at crazy prices. The fan thinks, 'If I sell them at this price I won’t go to the game, and if they don’t sell I will just go to the game.' This is how we see these prices at 50-100% above what they should be. They should call it crackhub.com with some of these prices.
For the Super Bowl, right now a 45YDL seat is going for under $5k and I have 20-30YDL for under $4k. This would be a lower level seat great row. I don’t think this is going to be a big Super Bowl for tickets, not with the economy. Also, no Playboy party this year, come on, that’s one of the biggest tickets on top of the game.
No Playboy party, but you can go to the Pepsi Smash Super Bowl Bash (Rihanna, Fall Out Boy, Lifehouse) for $20, or the DirecTV Celebrity Beach Bowl featuring Mario Lopez, Cuba Gooding Jr., Brody Jenner, all three Kardashian sisters, Kasey Kahne, Reggie Bush, Maurice Jones-Drew, Matt Forte, Phil Simms, Warren Moon and Eddie George, for free.
And hey, this guy needs one! Anyone?
