Acrobat Breaks Back After Falling Through Safety Net

Karo Christopher Kazungo, a 22-year-old acrobat with the Moscow State Circus, was supposed to drop from the ceiling and land safely in a net. A piece of the net snapped, and Kazungo plunged through, hitting the ground below.

Thankfully, the net slowed him down somewhat. A Belgian newspaper reports that Kazungo was conscious while being transported to the hospital, and his injuries include a spinal fracture.
