After Divorce Settlement, Kobe Goin' Broke

Kobe Bryant's wife of nearly 11 years, Vanessa, filed for divorce just over a month ago. They had no prenuptial agreement, and Vanessa will reportedly receive about $75 million in the settlement—so about $1.4 million for every alleged affair Kobe had during their marriage.

TMZ reports that Vanessa will receive half of the couple's assets, which are estimated at $150 million, as well as ownership of three mansions that they own together in Newport Beach, Calif. Vanessa may not have been with Kobe "shootin' in the gym," as Drake rapped in solidarity this month, but she will do just fine without him.

There's a lesson here, and it's that we should all take our marriage advice from the Basketball Wives.
