ALCS Game 6 Predictions: Top Bets and Player Props for Mariners vs Blue Jays
The Dodgers have already punched their ticket to the World Series, but it remains to be seen who will represent the AL. However, with a 6-2 win over the Toronto Blue Jays Friday night, the Seattle Mariners are in control, up 3-2 heading into Game 6 today.
With elimination for one and a trip to the Series for the other, chances are good we’ll see the best many players have to offer in such an important game. But will their ‘best’ translate into one of our ‘Best MLB Bets’ for Sunday, October 19? Let’s discuss some options.
OVER 7.5 at -104 (FanDuel)
The final score has gone OVER this mark in four of the last five games in this series. Toronto has been hitting the ball well in the postseason, hitting .293 and scoring 6-7 runs a game. Seattle hasn’t been hitting as well, batting .211 in the playoffs with around four runs scored per game.
They’ve been averaging five runs per game in the ALCS. With how well both offenses have been playing in the ALCS, I’m definitely taking the OVER.
Trey Yesavage, UNDER 4.5 Strikeouts at +146
The 11 he had against the Yankees in 5 1/3 innings will make you want to take the OVER but resist that urge. Yesavage had four in four innings of work in Game Two vs. Seattle. I’m not confident he’ll be in the game long enough to record OVER 4.5 strikeouts.
I’m sure the Blue Jays would love to get 5+ innings out of him today. But with elimination on the line, his leash will be short.
Julio Rodriguez, OVER .5 Home Runs at +455 (DraftKings)
Rodriguez took Yesavage deep in Game Two and has hit for power better on the road this season. If you’re going to bet on anyone not named Cal Raleigh to record a home run, Rodriguez is an excellent candidate.

Vladimir Guerrero Jr., OVER .5 Walks at +153 (DraftKings)
Guerrero Jr. is hitting .457 with five home runs in postseason play and .389 with two home runs in the ALCS. Since the Mariners walked him twice in Game 5, it would be surprising if they didn’t walk him at least once in Game 6.
Vladimir Guerrero Jr., OVER 1.5 total bases at -103 (DraftKings)
Vlad has gone 6-17 against Gilbert for a batting average of .353 with two home runs and two walks. With how he’s been hitting in the postseason and his history vs. Logan Gilbert, if he faces Gilbert twice, there is a good chance he gets walked both times.
George Springer, OVER 1.5 total bases at +101 (DraftKings)
Springer is expected to be back in the lineup today after leaving early in Game 5. He has hit .318 in the ALCS with five extra-base hits. Against Gilbert, Springer has gone .313 (5-16) against Logan Gilbert. At plus money odds, I love the value in this bet.
