Alex Legion Gets His Exodus After All

In our ongoing coverage of the dogmatic inevitability that Alex Legion will lead Kentucky to the Final Four, a tranquil atmosphere casts over the tumultuous world of college basketball.
Time stands still. A ray of light comes from above. In the distance, a choir hits a high note. As it turns out, it was a cloudy day, and the sun finally broke. This all happened during choir practice. The series of events were not interconnected:
Despite his mother publicly favoring Notre Dame, Alex Legion has opted to transfer to Illinois.
"Coach (Bruce) Weber and his staff recruited me out of high school," the former Kentucky freshman told FOXSports.com on Friday night. "I went to both places to visit in the last week and liked both, but I felt more comfortable at Illinois."
Closure has finally been reached. As they drive to Champaign, his mother, whom God informed her son would lead UK to the Final Four, better not ever return to Lexington, under penalty of transformation into salt.
But there you have it. Alex Legion's transferring. This would be really cool news, you know, if we knew someone who went to Illinois.
