Another World Cup Visit...
• Argentina 2-1 Côte d'Ivoire. A fine game with a lot of chances for both teams, but Côte d'Ivoire was unable to pull it out. Drogba gave them a goal in the 82nd minute, and it was frantic for a while, but they couldn't get the equalizer. And Argentina looked sharp, getting first-half goals from Saviola and Crespo. This was generally thought to be the toughest group in all the World Cup, with these two teams, Serbia-and-Montenegro, and Holland. This game certainly did nothing to dispel those beliefs.
• Update: Togo's got a new coach, and it's Kodjova Mawuena. Awesome, that's exactly who I was hoping they'd go with. I still can't believe their coach walked out on them, just like that. You just can't trust a Pfister.
