At This Rate, There Will Be A Whitlock Channel In 2009
The Don Imus controversy has been very very good to Jason Whitlock... and it might only be getting better. Whitlock revealed yesterday that WFAN had been in touch with him about taking over the old Imus time slot. He talked about it on the air with Mike Francesa and Chris Russo (currently covering the Imus time slot) yesterday:
Whitlock did not rule out interest in the Imus slot but said he first must decide whether he is prepared to move from Kansas City to New York and accept the morning radio lifestyle.
"You guys from New York, you all think this is the end all, be all, and how could you not want to be here?'' Whitlock said. "I like to have a life. I've got — — I'd like to do.'"
He is the media darling of the moment, and he can be an engaging, entertaining presence. But I really don't think we need someone going on the radio and using salty language like that. The s-word? On the radio? He sounds like one of those evil rapper people.
