More than any other sport, baseball lends itself to individual blog obsession. Every Major League Baseball team has several blogs obsessed with chronicling the ins-and-outs of everything. Deadspin salutes these modem-addled souls and proudly presents Blogdom's Best, given to the most outstanding blog for each team. If you would like to nominate a blog (yours even) for selection, just let us know at [email protected]. Today: The San Francisco Giants.

We know you're not supposed to like Barry Bonds, even though he's so good you can wake him up in the middle of September and he'll hit more home runs than Bobby Abreu. We found out this year what happens when you take Bonds off the filled-with-40-somethings roster; the team falls apart. It's difficult to figure out how you build a roster around a guy who is older than half the managers in the game. The Giants could be in seriously trouble in the next few years; old roster, tons of stadium debt, not much in the farm system. Next year could be their last chance for a while. They'll still be more entertaining than the 49ers, though.

3. McCovey Chronicles. Behind the next blog only because it's tough for one guy to do the work of four, we love McCovey Chronicles. Strangely thoughtful for a sports fan; there could be something to this whole blog thing yet. 2. Giants Cove. Incredible detailed three-person team handles all you might possibly want to know, and they don't get caught up in all the Bonds mania either. 1. Only Baseball Matters. Not just about the Giants, but still lengthy, meaty, beefish posts from John Perricone that balance the brain, the heart and the soul of the game. You won't believe the number of words this guy can devote to Pedro Feliz.
