Bruins D Hampus Lindholm (lower body) won’t return vs. Blackhawks

Boston Bruins defenseman Hampus Lindholm suffered a lower-body injury Thursday night and will not return to his team's home opener against the Chicago Blackhawks.
Lindholm skated six shifts in the first period but did not return to the bench for the second. The team quickly ruled him out for the rest of the night.
It was not clear how Lindholm was injured, and nothing appeared out of the ordinary in his final shift of the first.
Lindholm, 31, played just 17 games last season due to a knee injury.
He recorded one shot on goal and three blocks in Boston's season-opening 3-1 win at the Washington Capitals on Wednesday night. In 764 career games for the Anaheim Ducks (2013-22) and Bruins (2022-25), Lindholm has 73 goals and 313 points.
