Bustin' Ass

It's been awhile since we last brought you a photo of a terrified adolescent mutton-buster being tossed about by an unsettlingly placid-looking sheep. Our apologies.

This exciting moment was captured by Joe Johnston of the San Luis Obispo Tribune at the Creston Classic Rodeo in Creston, Calif. No word on how the young man fared, but from elsewhere in California comes proof that the seemingly indomitable mutton can, in fact, be subdued. By a 6-year-old girl, no less!

How does Desarae O'Neal do it?

"It was easy," she said, looking out from under her black cowboy hat. "I just kind of hang on to the hair real tight and look down at the hair. Sometimes I close my eyes."
