Cam Ward Had A Real Bizarre Own Goal

Why score a goal yourself when you can just find a way to get the puck into the goalie’s gear and have him carry it in for you?

The Coyotes probably didn’t draw it up this way, but that’s how it happened—with Hurricanes netminder Cam Ward inadvertently bringing the puck right into the goal tonight, after it slipped into his skate when he was going after it along the boards.

If that seems like it shouldn’t be allowed, it... shouldn’t exactly, according to what the rulebook has to say.
