Camera-Shy A's Fans Make For Awkward ESPN Segment
During last night's broadcast of the Angels-A's game, ESPN cut to former A's pitcher Dallas Braden for an on-the-scene report in the right-field bleachers of the A's stadium, which is known for being one of the more raucous cheering sections in the league. Unfortunately for Braden, the fans at the stadium last night were feeling a bit shy.
This was clearly supposed to be a "Whoa! Look at how crazy these fans are right now!" moment, but not only did the group behind Braden need to be goosed into making some noise for the camera, they abandoned their brief spurt of enthusiasm right as Braden delivered the line he had probably been practicing all day: "As you can tell, it is absolute pandemonium. I'm not even sure if you guys can hear me right now."
We can hear you just fine, Dallas :(
