Chicago Sports Radio Guys Take To Twitter To Discuss Reporter's Breasts
Matt Spiegel and Dan Bernstein work for 670 The Score in Chicago. Spiegel has a radio show; Bernstein has a column, a radio show, and hot takes on Derrick Rose. Wednesday night, the two took to Twitter to discuss CSN Chicago reporter Aiyana Cristal. The conversation started with Spiegel expressing perfectly fair criticism of Cristal's on-air work, and immediately developed into a discussion of her breasts and the effect they have on sad old men who look at them.
(The conversation continued here with a since-deleted tweet from Spiegel.)
Good exchange, guys. (If there's one thing sports media wants for, it's creepy old men talking about women's breasts, by which they mean to express just how much they'd love to fuck those women.)
This morning, Spiegel took to Twitter to apologize ...
... and to defend himself. He didn't fuck up by acting like a leering asshole, mind you; he simply failed to keep the conversation on track.
So wait, what was in that deleted tweet that Bernstein was responding to?
What a cock.
Update (2:46 p.m.): Bernstein apologized for his comments on his radio show today. Via the Chicago Tribune:
"I'm an idiot," Bernstein said Thursday morning on "The Boers and Bernstein Show." "There are certain times when you can be childish and crass and there are other times when it's just really stupid to be a child. My tweet was childish, my tweet was crass and unnecessary and I'm sorry I dragged an innocent person into it who's doing a job and I made an observation I shouldn't have made, and it was childish and silly and stupid."
Later, he added: "My words are my responsibility and my words were stupid. And there's nobody else to blame for any difficulties that I might be going through because of my stupidity. It's entirely on me. And I own it. And I wish I would've had a second thought about sending it, and I'm learning my lesson about what is appropriate, what is inappropriate to say, and I feel bad about it."
