Colts GM: QB Anthony Richardson 'full go' for camp
Indianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson (5) runs drills Wednesday, June 5, 2024, during practice at the Colts Practice Facility in Indianapolis. The Indianapolis Colts say quarterback Anthony Richardson remains a "full go" for training camp despite shoulder soreness the second-year player experienced earlier this month.
Colts general manager Chris Ballard said the team is not concerned about the shoulder fatigue Richardson felt at the end of organized team activities and minicamp.
Richardson, 22, underwent season-ending shoulder surgery in 2023 after suffering an AC joint sprain in Week 5.
"He'll be full go," Ballard said on the GM Shuffle podcast. "He was full go all the way up until the last day of OTAs, and we had two heavy throwing sessions the two days before, and so we backed off a little on the last day."
Richardson was a full participant throughout OTAs and Day 1 of minicamp. He left Day 2 of minicamp early and sat out the final day.
Richardson, the fourth overall pick in the 2023 draft, completed 59.5 percent of his passes for 577 yards, three touchdowns and one interception over four starts to begin his career. He also picked up 136 yards and four touchdowns on the ground.
