Dan Snyder Is Suing Washington City Paper Over A Story He Has Never Read, Because Dan Snyder Is A Prick
Here's proof that Dan Snyder, the Redskins' churlish little shitbag vulgarian of an owner, runs a lawsuit the way he runs a football team. From a Q&A with The New York Times Magazine:
Earlier this year, you sued The Washington City Paper for publishing "The Cranky Redskins Fan's Guide to Dan Snyder," which, among other things, claimed that your company had engaged in some shady business practices. Have you read the article? No.
How could you sue without reading the piece?Because I heard all the details. But the entire piece? I'm not going to read that.
"Tl;dr," said the plaintiff.
This, I'll remind you, is the plaintiff in a $2 million libel lawsuit that would effectively make a paper hat out of the First Amendment in the unlikely event that it succeeded. This case never ceases to astound. The fact that it's still hanging around the courts is an ongoing embarrassment to the Redskins, their fans, the NFL, all of American jurisprudence, thinking people everywhere, James Madison, the Bill of Rights, the Magna Carta, whatever part of Roger Goodell is capable of shame, and every 9-year-old kid who ever doodled on someone else's photograph.
