Deadcast: What Makes A Team A Fraud?
I’ve been enjoying these NBA playoffs quite a bit despite the fact that all the NERDY BASKETBLOG NERDS on the Deadspin staff have told me that every team involved in these games is a fucking fraud.
Nobody enjoys calling teams and payers out for fraudulence more than I, but it’s usually a hollow insult, used by BUTTHURT fans like me to diminish the accomplishments of teams I happen to despise (all of them). Is there really such a thing as a fraud team? What makes them a fraud? And why are fraud teams usually quarterbacked by Peyton Manning? That’s the subject of this week’s Deadcast.
Marchman and I talk about that shit, along with other scintillating topics such as large holes in the ground, the lottery, and the end of David Letterman. Marchman is all hepped up on goofballs from cold medicine this week, so please enjoy his voice being throatier than usual.
If you have anything you’d like to hear discussed on the revived podcast, just send it in to [email protected] with the subject line DEADCAST. You can listen to the show here or download it over at the iTunes store.
