Denny McLain Says "Domestic Issues" Drove Prince Fielder Out Of Detroit
Former Detroit Tigers pitcher Denny McLain hinted at some darker, less savory reasons for why the team traded first baseman Prince Fielder today on the Michigan radio show Doctor & Bentley. His comments are definitely suggestive, though it's not exactly clear what he's trying to get at.
Hmm. "A lot of pain here between Fielder and a player or two?" "An ugliness and a nastiness?" Possibly involving a top prospect traded to Chicago? ( Avisail Garcia?) Fielder did file for divorce back in May.
If McLain really is as knowledgeable about this story as he claims be, then the wait for the sordid details shouldn't be too long. He claims a number of reporters know the real story, but were told by the team not to write about it.
Know something? Don't hesitate to let us know.
