Dynamo sign German winger Lawrence Ennali

The Houston Dynamo signed 22-year-old German winger Lawrence Annali on Thursday.

Annali arrives on a full transfer from Poland's Gornik Zabrze. The fee was not disclosed but the MLS club called it the largest U22 Initiative signing in franchise history.

Annali signed a contract with Houston through 2026 with a club option for 2027.

"Lawrence was being highly recruited after his breakout season last year in Poland," Dynamo general manager Pat Onstad said. "Thanks to the resources provided by our owner, Ted Segal, and the first team environment created by our head coach, Ben Olsen, we were able to beat out Bundesliga clubs, Champions League clubs and clubs with more lucrative offers to sign such a promising talent."

Ennali tallied eight goals and two assists in 70 matches over three seasons in Europe. Before joining Gornik Zabrze in 2023, he played for Germany's Hannover 96 and third-division Rot-Weiss Essen.

"Lawrence is an explosive winger with the ability to change games with his quickness and aggressiveness to goal," Onstad said. "He will help us make a push at the end of this season, and we welcome him to Houston."
