Five Fans Hit Half-Court Shots To Win Sacramento Kings Season Tickets
Even when the Kings are winning, they're losing.
After taking over for the Maloof brothers, Sacramento's new owners are trying to get the community excited about the franchise again. So they recently put on an event where fans who hit a half-court shot would get free season tickets to Kings games.
The odds of anyone hitting a shot were low, and the giveaway was probably planned as more of a publicity stunt than anything else. Then fans started sinking them, one after another after another.
Five fans in all connected. Not one used anything approaching proper shooting form. A fan even threw up a shot overhead, like a soccer throw-in. And that went in, too, because justice.
