Golden State Warriors Fall To Last Place In Western Conference
After officials waved off an apparent Kevin Durant buzzer beater upon further review, the Golden State Warriors fell to 0-1 on opening night at home. They lost to the Rockets 122-121 on the occasion of their championship ring ceremony. Awwww.
The Warriors led by as much as 17, and held the lead for almost the entire night, but Houston outscored them 34-20 in the fourth quarter, with two P.J. Tucker free throws with 44 seconds left proving to be the difference.
It’s almost hard to believe the difference between first and last place is so small, but the bottom is where the Warriors now sit, thanks to Durant’s too-slow release:
