Here Is Kyle Turris's OT Goal That Lifted The Senators Over The Habs
Kyle Turris scored 2:32 into overtime to win the game for the Ottawa Senators, who beat the Montreal Canadiens, 3-2, to take a commanding 3-1 lead NHL Eastern Conference quarterfinals.
Turris, harrassed by two Montreal defenders, took a shot from the sideboards that beat goalie Peter Budaj for the winning goal. Budaj, the Habs' backup, subbed in for starter Carey Price at the start of overtime. The Senators themselves almost didn't make it to overtime, and needed a goal from left wing Cory Canacher with 22.6 seconds remaining in the third period to extend the game.
It's not the first time Turris has come up big in the NHL playoffs. Last year, the Senators' 23-year-old center scored an OT winner in game four of the Eastern Conference quarterfinals to beat the New York Rangers.
The Senators will try to close out the Habs Thursday night in Montreal.
