Marshawn Lynch Is Back And Already Trucking Big Linemen
Photo: Wesley Hitt/ [object Object] In a league where few running backs have a career expectancy beyond age 30, it seemed foolish to expect that an unretired Marshawn Lynch would be just as punishing as he was when he played for the Seahawks. And then he flattened a 300-pound defensive lineman.
Titans defender Jurrell Casey, who is no slouch, learned in the most painful way that the Raiders’ version of Lynch could still truck:
In his first game since 2015, Lynch had 18 carries and ran for 76 yards, along with a 16-yard catch in Oakland’s 26-16 win. The Raiders already boasted a dangerous passing offense, and now they have a starting RB who loves contact, had a year of rest, and didn’t seem to lose anything from it. It’s good to have Marshawn back in the NFL.
