Panthers Reinstate Marty Hurney After Domestic Violence Investigation
Photo: Chuck Burton/ [object Object] The Carolina Panthers have reinstated interim GM Marty Hurney after the NFL found no evidence of a violation of the league’s personal conduct policy, according to the team.
Hurney was initially put on leave Feb. 4 after his ex-wife filed, then withdrew, a request for a domestic violence protective order. Her request was denied by a district court judge, but the NFL still conducted an investigation of the initial accusations.
Hurney was previously the Panthers’ GM from 2002-2012. He returned to Carolina in that role in July 2017 after the team fired Dave Gettleman. According to the Panthers, he is currently a candidate to once again become the full-time GM.
