Paul Pogba Scores Great Goal, Has Great Hair, Is Great
While Arsenal were laying the smackdown on Manchester United today, ex-United player Paul Pogba was in Italy's Serie A playing for Juventus, and he was flourishing, and it was a beautiful thing to behold, and we're unspeakably lucky to have him in our life doing wondrous things, all the time.
Juve's opponents Sassuolo were trying to hold on to a draw eight minutes from time when Simone Pepe found Pogba sprinting untouched through the heart of the Sassuolo defense. Pepe fired a difficult cross to Pogba about 30 yards from goal, but the young Frenchman is a gem and a magician, and so he took a magnificent first touch that slowed the ball, sending it bouncing juicily right in stride.
There was only one thing to do next—score a 20-yard banger special enough, maybe, to temporarily end racism in Italy. And that's what he did, because he's a hero, and that's what heroes do.
Paul Pogba, 21, is the best young player in the world. He has already scored some of the greatest goals you'll ever see, and has found countless other ways to bless us. If you're not already, you should start watching him now, and this goal is a really great place to start.
