Report: NFL Line Judge Under Investigation For Domestic Violence
Photo: Al Messerschmidt/ [object Object] NFL line judge and former VP of Officiating Carl Johnson is reportedly under police investigation in Louisiana for an alleged pattern of domestic violence, according to TMZ.
Johnson’s accuser, a woman he was living with in 2016, was granted a temporary restraining order but denied a permanent one, according to the report. She also claimed to have gone to the NFL asking for help in March, then went to police a few months later. The Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office confirmed to TMZ that Johnson is under investigation.
Johnson, no longer a full time official, most recently worked the Chiefs-Eagles game this past Sunday. He was the NFL’s top official from 2010 to 2012, and later returned to the field.
The NFL, because it likes to cosplay as a police department, is also reportedly investigating the allegations.
