UCLA Fires Jim Mora
Photo: Sean M. Haffey/ [object Object] With one game remaining in what could become the program’s second straight losing season, UCLA has announced that they have fired head coach Jim Mora, who has been with the program since the 2012 season.
Mora’s tenure began with great success, highlighted by back-to-back ten-win seasons in 2013 and 2014. However, UCLA only went 8-5 in 2015, then couldn’t even make a bowl game last year. Despite having a highly rated prospect in Josh Rosen at quarterback, the Bruins are only 5-6 this season. A close lost to USC last night, 28-23, appears to have sealed Mora’s fate.
Offensive coordinator Jedd Fisch will serve as interim coach for the remainder of the season.
