Youth Football Coach Lets Adult Play In Game, Gets Fired

The Rhode Island Pre-Teen Football League kicked out one of its teams after the coach reportedly allowed an adult to play in a game this weekend.
Capital City Buccaneers founder Alexandra Diaz told NBC 10 News that she canceled the remainder of the team’s season and fired the coach. The player in the No. 84 jersey was an older brother of one of the players, who were seventh and eighth graders.
No. 84 entered the game after halftime and played a few snaps before officials gave him the boot. ABC 6 spoke with one of the parents who attended the game and took photos:
“I could zoom right in and see the facial hair,” said parent Kevin Stockwell. “You know most 13 year old’s [sic] are starting to get facial hair. This gentleman had facial hair and had arm tattoos.”
“The coach told me it was his decision,” Diaz said. “It was his mistake. He feels sorry.”
