Nike's Jordan brand released a new spot on YouTube today that has sports media outlets scrambling to heap on as much free advertising for the multinational sportswear behemoth and its retiring Yankees shortstop spokesperson as possible.

The ad—which features a menagerie of notable names tipping their cap to Derek Jeter—curiously ends before Red Sox pitcher Jon Lester delivers his pitch to The Captain. We've gotten our hands on the original cut of the spot, which reveals the outcome of Jeter's plate appearance. For some reason, they decided to excise it from the final cut.
