FA Charges Rio Ferdinand With Misconduct, Probably For "Yo Mama" Joke
The English FA can't really be this uptight, can they? Today, the Premier League's governing body has announced that it has charged QPR's Rio Ferdinand with misconduct for a Tweet of his, without mentioning the specific one. It appears that it is this little bit of humor, sent to a bantering Mancunian:
Not that the joke isn't self-evident, but " sket" is slang that's basically the equivalent of "ho." The FA is probably a little sensitive to gender issues, especially after recent, high-profile debacles in handling other cases. But c'mon. Ferdinand's decent double entendre is not like Malky Mackay's texts, and there's no need to lump them together. Fix diving in the game before you try to fix banter.
