Mandatory Credit: Kim Klement Neitzel-USA TODAY Sports Facundo Torres scored twice to help Orlando City snap a five-match winless skid with a 4-2 victory against the visiting Chicago Fire on Saturday.
It's the first win for Orlando (5-8-6, 21 points) since May 18.
Hugo Cuypers scored for a fourth straight match for the Fire (4-9-6, 18 points), whose four-match unbeaten streak ended.
Torres gave Orlando a 1-0 lead in the fourth minute. The Uruguayan international was uncovered along the right flank when he collected a Dagur Thorhallsson feed and took it into the box. He then fired a curling shot between two Fire defenders and over goalkeeper Chris Brady into the far side of the net.
Luis Muriel converted on a penalty to double the lead in the 20th minute.
In the 29th minute, Ivan Angulo was in the right place at the right time to make it 3-0. Brady stopped Duncan McGuire's shot from in front, but Angulo was in the 6-yard box to deposit the rebound.
The Fire weren't without their chances in the half, attempting eight shots, including four on target.
Cuypers had a chance in the box in the 11th minute, but goalkeeper Mason Stajduhar made the stop. Maren Haile-Selassie's rebound attempt then went over the crossbar.
In the 24th minute, Chicago's Brian Gutierrez unleashed a shot from just inside the box that hit the right post and bounced away from the net.
Chicago finally broke through in the 53rd minute when Haile-Selassie converted on a penalty to cut it to 3-1.
Torres struck again in the 60th minute. Thorhallsson sent him a short pass outside the box, and Torres fired a left-foot shot high over Brady to push the advantage to 4-1.
The Fire again narrowed the deficit. Cuypers collected a loose ball just outside the goal area after a failed Orlando clearance and sent a shot through the legs of Stajduhar, making it 4-2 in the 69th minute.
Gutierrez nearly pulled Chicago within one in the 85th minute on a header from in front, but Stujdahar got his hand up to tip the ball away.
