Giancarlo Stanton's Moonshot Topped Only By The Fan Who Caught It
Giancarlo Stanton is a very good baseball man. When he hits the ball, often it leaps off of his bat approaching the speed of light, and goes much farther than any tightly wound lump of cork, yarn, and cowhide has any right to go.
Today he did it again, sending the ball 478 feet into the stratosphere where it was caught by a man—an ordinary man in all but his bravery—who leaned over an upper deck railing and snagged it barehanded. God bless Giancarlo Stanton, and god bless our everyman hero.
