Glen Rice Jr. Arrested For Battery; Cops Find Guns And Money
TMZ reports that former NBA player Glen Rice Jr. was arrested in Georgia on July 25 after he allegedly assaulted ex-Tulane basketball player Jordan Callahan and then ran off with two bags containing guns.
According to a police report obtained by TMZ, Rice Jr. allegedly punched Callahan after the two had an argument in a parking lot, breaking Callahan’s jaw and knocking out one of his teeth. Police say Rice Jr. then grabbed two bags from his car and ran off, and attempted to hide the bags under some leaves before being arrested. From TMZ:
Inside the bags — 2 guns (an AK-47 assault rifle and a Taurus .38 Special) and a bunch of bullets.
Cops say a 3rd gun was found in the Porsche.
There’s more ... cops say Rice also had roughly $2,700 in cash and 6 cell phones on him at the time.
Last October, Rice was shot in the leg after being involved in a brawl, and was later arrested when cops found 240.4 grams of marijuana and $5,953 cash in the car Rice was riding when he told the cops he had been shot.
