Henderson Álvarez Throws The Weirdest No-Hitter In Decades
Marlins pitcher Henderson Álvarez joined the immortal list of pitchers to throw a no-hitter, but he needed the help of his opposing Tigers pitcher to pull it off.
Despite going nine full without allowing a base hit, the Venezuelan wasn't able to celebrate his feat because the hapless Marlins offense hadn't put across a single run. That changed in the bottom of the ninth, as Giancarlo Stanton crossed the plate on a Luke Putkonen wild pitch with the bases loaded and two outs. You're not likely to see a no-hitter like this again in your lifetime, so soak it in. [FSFL]
