Here's Your "I Can't Believe These Teams Are Somehow Still Relevant" MNF Open Thread
3-7 San Francisco plays at 3-7 Arizona tonight. The Cardinals have lost five straight. And yet, in the very sad NFC West wasteland, a win could put either team a game back of the division lead. Should this be illegal?
Well, it's at least a good argument for relegation in the NFL. Arizona's Larry Fitzgerald, who will get a great workout waving his arms in desperation at QB Derek Anderson all evening, is optimistic that his team can turn the not-very-young-at-all season around.
"The season's been disappointing up to this point," Fitzgerald said this week, "but we both understand this division is still open."
The real disappointment, of course, is that the division is still open.
