Because no one reads the newspaper, and SportsCenter's anchors are too perky for this early in the morning, Deadspin combs the best of the broadsheets and internets to bring you everything you need to know to start your day.

Hockey. Wow.

• Mike Brown, dead man walking coach of the Cleveland Cavaliers, has yet to officially be fired by the Cavs, although it was reported yesterday afternoon that he was. We'll stick by Chris Mannix's story. The other version of Brown's quick firing, stemmed from rumors that he was having an ongoing affair with the mother of Cavaliers' GM Dan Gilbert.

• Ken Griffey, Jr. says he's not ready to spend the rest of his career napping just yet.

• Mr. Cameron Diaz hit a grand slam and trotted around the bases like a grinning sonuvabitch as the Yankees beat the Twins 8-4.

Hockey. Again.

Good morning. It's Saturday. I'm working outside. I hope you are, too. We shall blog and tend to the garden together like happy widowers.
