California Chrome Takes Preakness, Has Shot At Triple Crown

California Chrome and jockey Victor Espinoza won the Preakness Stakes today in a time of 1:54.84.

Ride On Curlin came in second, and Social Inclusion finished third.

With victories in the Kentucky Derby and Preakness Stakes, California Chrome and jockey Victor Espinoza can take the Triple Crown by winning the Belmont Stakes on June 7. No horse has achieved the feat since Affirmed in 1978.
