If You're Losing By 96, Maybe Just Let Them Dunk
James Crisp/ [object Object] There is pride, and there is prideful foolishness. Asbury guard Alex Dennis’s decision to try and jump with Kentucky’s Mychal Mulder with 54.6 seconds remaining in a 96-point ballgame was an example of the latter.
The Wildcats put on a show for Rupp Arena Sunday, throwing down 29 dunks and cruising to a 156-63 exhibition victory against the Division II Eagles. Dennis will no doubt get a pat on the back from his coach when Asbury does film review for his determination and will; his pats for athleticism will have to wait.
Kentucky opens the 2016-17 season at home against Stephen F. Austin Friday.
