In England, They Just Wrap Your Head Injury And Send You Back Out On The Pitch
Early on in today's Arsenal/Blackburn match, Samir Nasri (of the former) went head-to-head with a foe (from the latter).
He ended up with the quick-forming knot on his dome. In a move that Roger Goodell's P.R. serfs are already crafting into head-injuries-aren't-that-bad spin, he was back on the pitch within minutes. Nasri was taken out for a sub in the 78th minute of a 0-0 game.
In a story that had nothing to do with the Arsenal game, a linesman was hit with beer at the FC Schalke v St Pauli match. Here's a link to the video. There's a fine pending against St. Pauli as a result. [ The Local] (H/T Tomuban)
And in a story unrelated to the head of either Nasri or the linesman, police arrested hooligan Marco Righetto prior to today's AC Milan/Inter Milan match. Righetto had homemade explosives, four knives, a baseball bat and pepper spray on him [Fox Sports].
