Is Dan Uggla A Mad Genius Or Just A Crappy Fielder?
The answer, of course, is "crappy fielder." But when Uggla completely whiffed on a throw, dropping it at his own feet, it inspired Denard Span to try for home. He discovered, an instant too late, that he had been Uggla'd.
Uggla throws are always an adventure. (Remember this gem?) But last night's second act in the Braves' comedy of errors was something so special, so ineffectual, that it circled back around to being to being brilliant.
The Nats would win the game and sweep the day-night doubleheader, keeping alive their very faint hopes of a wild card.
