It's A Hat! It's A Hearing Aid! It's A Utensil!
This image was lost some time after publication. A site we'd never heard of but are now addicted to called Patently Silly takes a look at all the ridiculous "inventions" that receive patents from the goverment. Recently, they featured. something called "Multi-Purpose Headgear", from a company called Sportniks. What are the multi purposes of this headgear?
The device can (1) serve as a hat or headgear, (2) it can amplify a user's voice, (3) it can be used as a hearing aid, (4) it can be used as a carrying utensil, (5) it can serve as a banner to advertise a logo, (6) it can be used as a traffic safety cone, and (7) it can serve as a Christmas ornament.
This evolutionary leap forward in the field of fandom not only comes fully equipped, it also comes — of course — with the Ohio State logo. Because, as we continue to establish every day around this site, through no malice of our own, something scary is going in Ohio. It might as well be reflected in the patent office.

(UPDATE: Apparently, the inventor is an Oregon State fan; hence the OSU. Pity. You almost escaped this, Oregon!)
