Ivory Coast-Mali Has Had A Lightning First Half
The first half of today’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifier between Ivory Coast and Mali featured three outstanding golazos and one really, really bad own goal.
Mali, a huge underdog, actually held the lead briefly as Sambou Yatabaré chipped one in from long distance—but Jonathan Kodjia’s screamer equalized, and then Salif Coulibaly knocked in one of the worst own goals you’ll ever see. That just set the stage for Gervinho’s rocket of a volley that made the halftime score 3-1.
