Arguably, the biggest key to this game will be time of possession. New England is elite at extending drives and taking time off the clock, currently ranking seventh in the NFL at 31:25 per game.

The Jets, on the other hand, have struggled to move the ball consistently—especially in recent weeks. They’re averaging only 17.8 first downs per game and have gone three-and-out at an alarming rate.

If the Jets can’t sustain drives, the Patriots will eat up the clock and limit New York’s possessions, making offensive efficiency even more crucial. But overall, it’s hard to trust the Jets’ offense to find any rhythm. They’ll likely need three scores to reach this number, and that feels like a tall task.

Garrett Wilson has already been ruled out, allowing New England to key in on the run game.
