[object Object] Last night’s game between the Red Sox and Yankees, the final game the two will play against each other this season, was fairly uneventful. David Ortiz got some cheers from the New York crowd, C.C. Sabathia pitched well, and John Farrell kept most of his stars off the field.
Running out some bench players is a fine thing for a team that’s already clinched the division to do, but Farrell’s strategy didn’t sit too well with one fan:
Let this be further evidence that only baseball coaches and gym teachers can get away with delivering clumsy burns like “shut your ass up.” Something about the square jaw and the windbreaker just makes it work.
