John Salley Story Corner: Sleeping With The Enemy

Every week, John Salley, onetime Bad Boy and currently the arachnoid half of the Spider and the Henchman podcast, will regale us with an amusing and occasionally salacious story from his playing days. Today: A sister does her dirt.

This guy goes to the club — I can't tell you the name of the dude — and he meets this banging girl. Me and my teammates, we'd never seen this girl in the clubs, and I knew the city pretty well. Anyway, he meets her, and he's talking, and she's about it. So we look around and see if she has any friends, because if she's about it, maybe her friends are, too. "About it," for those who are racially impaired, means she was ready to go to the house and get it done. [Ed. note: Ah.]

So he bounces. An hour or so later, we're pulling into the hotel, and we see her. She jumps in a sweet-ass ride, and she peels out.

Flash forward to the next night. We're playing, and my boy is on the bench. He's sitting there, and he's looking at a girl in the stands. He turns around, and then he turns around again and looks. The girl is trying not to look at him. And he goes, "Yo, Sal. Remember that girl last night in the club?"

"Yeah."

"She's sitting in the wife section."

Turns out, she was the wife of a guy on the team we were playing — it was the Knicks, I'll tell you that much. She'd put on a wig and changed everything. So, for all you guys who think you're doing your thing while the wife is doing the home thing — well, she was out in the club with us. Jay-Z said it best: A bitch will do her dirt in your bed; a sister will do her dirt outside the house.
