Kris "The Incredible Hump" Humphries Would Like You To Vote For Him For Some Things
It's been one of those seasons, right down to the Nets PR guy accidentally emailing his media contact list to complain that he couldn't find anyone to buy his tickets off of him. (Yes, that's a thing that actually happened.)
But they've got to stir up some excitement in Newark, and the Deron Williams honeymoon is over before it began. So the onus falls on Kris Humphries, who's either having a breakout year, or having a contract year. Doesn't matter which, he's going to get overpaid this summer anyway.
The Nets have launched a "for your consideration" campaign to get Humphries in the discussion for the most improved player award, and the all-defensive team. In essence, here's the pitch:
"Please pay money to watch us play the Bobcats with nothing on the line next week. We have Kris Humphries, who grabs rebounds, and grabs more of them then he did last year."
Also, Kris Humphries might be done for the year with a heel injury.
