Last Night's Raw Featured An Entire Virgilbag's Worth Of Washed-Up Wrestlers
I don't watch wrestling any more, but I used to, so for me the best parts of last night's 1,000th Raw episode were when USA Network aired clips of those late '90s Attitude Era matches from my teenage years.
The actual live action left a lot to be desired, though this moment is memorable (and somewhat relevant to this site!). Apparently a gent named Heath Slater has been working his way through a list of wrestling has-beens, and they came back for justice last night. Among those who arrived to play a small and insignificant role in a small and insignificant match were Vader, Road Warrior Animal, Sergeant Slaughter, Rowdy Roddy Piper, Sycho Sid, Rikishi, Doink the Clown, and the ever-dynamic Diamond Dallas Page.
It was like a Virgilbag, but on television. While it turned out to be really stupid, well, these are ex-wrestlers we're talking about.
