Mariners ace Logan Gilbert exits with forearm tightness

Seattle Mariners ace right-hander Logan Gilbert left Friday night's start against the visiting Miami Marlins with tightness in his right forearm, the team announced.
Gilbert, who entered the game 1-1 with a 2.63 ERA in five starts this season, struck out three over three perfect innings. The 27-year-old former first-round pick threw just 29 pitches before exiting.
The Mariners' Opening Day starter had the top strikeout rate in the major leagues at 38 percent.
Gilbert is coming off his first All-Star season, finishing 9-12 with a 3.23 ERA and leading the majors in starts (33), innings (208 2/3) and WHIP (0.887).
